Here’s where owners get tripped up: Ghost Controls OEM mounting brackets are sized for standard 4×4 or 6×6 posts and common gate profiles.   • Gate sagging or dragging at the latch end. Not always a hinge problem. On sliding Ghost Controls systems, a bent or cracked track support bracket lets the rail drop. On swing gates, a failing torsion arm support fabricated bracket changes the geometry so the gate no longer swings level.
  • Unusual noise from the motor with little gate movement. The Ghost Controls motor is running but the gate barely shifts. Often the fabricated clevis pin or connecting rod has sheared, or a weld has failed internally where you can’t see it without disassembly.
  • Rust streaking or swelling at welded joints. New York City’s freeze-thaw cycles and road salt exposure accelerate corrosion inside welded joints. Once moisture wicks into a poorly sealed weld, the joint weakens from the inside out. DIY or Call Us?
